“The Defenders”

We’re getting glorified dog licenses!

“Someone is giving this president very bad advice on gay issues.”

“We need to see the Barack Obama of the campaign again — and he needs to shut down the person or people giving him outdated advice. It’s 2009, not 1993 or even 2004. It really is okay for our President to be in favor of civil rights for all Americans.”

“It’s not just about the word ‘Marriage’.”

I could have told you this. Even if religious protections get added to marriage equality laws, it won’t be good enough in the eyes of “christians”. Because, it might not protect — wait for it — the florists.

They hate us.

China: Doing it right.

“It will cost her insurance company less.”

The right wingers go on about socialist health care like it’s full of ridiculous bureaucracy.

Whatever.

More like this please.

Imagine that… it is torture.

“Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University bans ‘Democratic Club’ because Democrats are un–Christian”

“Is Maine’s Diocese violating tax laws?”

I’m sure they are. So are lots of other “churches”. Why don’t we end the tax breaks for religion? Then, the churches are free to spout off whatever they believe in without any repercussions.

“And cumbaya Democrats don’t do mean.”

Great — direct and to the point — post from John at AmericaBlog about what’s wrong with Democrats.

I agree. The reason that the Republicans have lost the last two election cycles is that the American people aren’t that stupid (just slightly dumb). They are repudiating the Republican’s policies by voting them out. In our country, there are only two major parties. They both do whatever they can to prevent smaller or “third” parties out.

I want to say I that I voted (with pride at the time) for Barack Obama. I will give him (and the Democratic party) some time. But, by the end of the year I don’t see some action on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) or the Defence of Marriage Act (DOMA), I will not support the Democrats at the next election.

But, I don’t want anyone to think that I will vote for a Republican. I won’t vote for a party that believes in discrimination as part of it’s platform. I would vote for a conservative that won’t attack me for political gain.

Why vote for Republicans if you will get hate wrapped in the American flag? Why vote for the Democrats if you will get inaction on pretty much any issue?

I don’t know why the American people can’t get behind a third party. I know that the next election, if I can’t get what I expect out of the Democrats, I will vote for anyone except them. I will “throw away” my next vote to a third party without a chance of getting elected.

We must take a stand. One person at a time.

“I understand that ending slavery cost southern plantations a lot of money too.”

So, that’s kind of the analogy that Michael Steele is using…

“Introducing Windows Vista. It lets you take screenshots of windows and rectangular areas. Imagine that.”

Great parody of Apple’s 1995 ad campaign making fun of Windows 95. Refresh the page over and over to see even more funny.
