“I would like Obama to look him in the eye and tell him to get a divorce or get out of the country. It’s just sick.”

“… this is a country that can’t even raise the gas tax from 18.4 cents to 30 cents."

“Watching how this government can do nothing to reform healthcare, nothing to end the wars and occupations that drain the coffers, nothing to tackle entitlements even as the country teeters toward complete insolvency, nothing to reform a broken immigration system… even after a president is elected with a clear mandate and a Congressional majority in both Houses: well, we know why America is fucked, don’t we?”

“We don’t want invites to White House parties. We want an end to being treated as second class human beings.”

Who the fuck in the Obama administration is telling him that it’s cool to outright oppose gay rights?

I know that Obama didn't literally pen the brief. But it's his Justice Department. They claim they have to defend this law, despite what they promised during the campaign. (Which is that they wanted to see the whole thing repealed.) They didn't have to defend this law. They certainly have indicated a complete lack of willingness to prosecute the war crimes of the last administration.

Even if they had to defend, they didn't have to equate gay relationships to incestuous relationships and say that we can always marry someone of the opposite sex. He has been backsliding on gay issues since taking office. His press spokesman has basically said that he plans to give us civil rights, but don't press him for any details.

The only way he could redeem himself for this is to come out pushing Congress for civil rights laws to be passed. And say he's sorry he couldn't control one his executive departments. It's not just this one issue, this is just the final straw.

“Maybe next time we’ll get balloons too.”

At this point, I’m numb.

What the fuck is wrong with these people?

Past administrations (both Rethuglican and Democrapic) haven’t defended laws they didn’t believe were constitutional. Not only is this administration defending the law, they are saying it's absolutely constitutional, narrow in scope, and not discriminating against anyone.

One of two things are happening here. Both would scare the hell out of me if I cared anymore.

• Obama doesn't have control of the DOJ (an executive branch)

• Obama doesn't give a shit about gay, lesbian, or bisexual citizens.

Starting today, I don’t give a shit about Obama. I was going to give him a bit of a pass n gay issues. Fool me once, shame on you. You won’t have a chance to fool me a second time.

Any political party care about 10% of their citizens? Please let me know. I’d love to support them.

I’m refuse to take shit anymore

Gary Randall, president of the Faith & Freedom (for him) Network said, “We’re not trying to take anything from anyone. We’re simply trying to defend and keep marriage as it has always been throughout all of human history.”

I’m not going to discuss why he’s wrong anymore. The “traditionalists” are fucking crazy. How can someone vote to take away (or give) a right that is fundamental? We’re at the point now where gay people are not going to take it anymore.

Gay Married Californian talks about Washington state’s Referendum 71. “This fight against the referendum, and the threatened attacks in California, like previous fights in Utah and elsewhere, shows that it’s not about ‘marriage’ as a word, or as a concept. It’s about bigotry, pure and simple.”

If you haven’t had your mind changed by the events of the last five years — seeing caring, loving, and committed couples — and if you think I’m not deserving of the same rights as you, just tell me. I don’t want to have anything to do with you and I don’t want to waste my time dealing with a wasted mind.
“…often the price of being honest at a young age may be too high a price for some of us to pay.”

“There are extreme risks to the health of the mother in allowing an ectopic pregnancy to come to term.”

“I chose to terminate at six weeks. My family heartily disagreed, saying that it was my duty to risk my life for a pregnancy I never wanted and had taken rational steps to avoid. …My family seems to value the six week of cell growth over the person they have known for 40 years.”

What the fuck is wrong with these kind of people?

“We really must stress that we are discussing a separation of civil from religious marriage.”

“Religious groups do not get to inflict their definition of marriage onto society at large. The Catholics already accept that for divorce. This is no different.”

Let’s sum up my views about abortion. If you are against it, and you’re a woman, don’t get one. If you are against it and you’re a man, it’s not your call. Shut the fuck up.

2009-06-02

“If… [abortion is outlawed], women in my situation will be forced to watch our newborns gasp their last breath and grow cold in our arms.”

That’s compassionate conservatism!

“It only works if you’re the Fed”

“The anti–gay–marriage sound bite… makes no attempt at persuasion. You believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman? Okay! But why?”

“Then there is the procreation argument…”

Wait, someone just told me that the old, the infertile, or the sterile can marry. What? I thought it was all about procreation!

Have you noticed they always bring up procreation? It’s all about fucking to them. Fuck your property men!

Wait, someone just told me that marriage isn’t about property anymore. So, that means that marriage has been redefined before…

“Gays Have The Power”

The takeaway from this is: come out, come out wherever you are.

2009-06-01

“It’s just obvious, inevitable, a given.”

“For the next generation in particular, equal rights for gays is not even a question or a serious issue, much less a sinful hysterical conundrum that can only be answered by terrified Mormons and confused old people and inane referendums funded by same.”

“Don’t bother with… the Gay Pride proclamations if you’re going to say in Federal Court that DOMA is constitutional and should be upheld.”

“If you do that, its over.”

Exactly.

“…insurance companies have so swamped medical professionals with the burdens of doing it their way… and the entire system suffers as a result.”

“Note that this makes [Dick Cheney] more supportive of full marriage equality than Barack Obama.”

What. The. Fuck?

Well, we get a proclamation
